This is old Variscite from the Turner Mine. It's darker than most of the Variscite found today and is a more rare variety. This projectile cut cabochon has a large area of matrix at the bottom. There is also a fracture at the top of the cab, but it's stable.

32mm x 19mm x 6mm.   Weight: 22.80 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
