You got me! This isn't a cabochon... it's a cross-section of a small limb of Petrified Wood, sliced and worked by me. I softened the edge some and gave it a girdle of about 2mm, give-n-take a bit. I rounded the top and polished it, so it has a cabochon-like appearance. Very pretty, even if it isn't a cab...

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
