Brookwood Stone

This rock was gathered just a few miles from home. It's known locally, along with other rock found in the spillings of coal mines, as "Brookwood Stone." This one is less flashy than some others we've gathered (there is an almost-sealed fracture at center left and a vug on the right edge), but for someone looking for a good example of river rock, it's a beauty.

Round girdle; 31mm x 23mm x 7.5mm.   Weight: 39.85 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
