I was worried about this cabochon! I was called from the shop when I started cutting the preform, and didn't get all the saw oil off the slab. And it stained the rock! The GOOD news is that I cut through the stained rock as I was shaping the cab, and all the evidence of the "accident" disappeared. And it looks good, no? Dimensions: 40mm x 30.5mm x 7mm; cab has a flat girdle. Weight: 59.85 carats. |
