This unusual material has little Turritella-like fossils in it; even though it's lighter in color than most of the Turritella I've seen, that's my guess at ID. It's very stable material; there is a small chip on the back edge which I have filled with epoxy (cannot be seen from the front). This cab has a killer shine. What a beauty!
