This small Dichroic Glass cabochon is a departure from rock for me, but it was more of an experiment than a change in direction. The glass has an aqua tint which can be seen as the cabochon is turned. The back is characteristically dichro and not ground flat. The gray area at lower left is a hole in the glass which starts at the edge; the hole has some chromium dioxide (polish) in it which I will attempt to remove (no promises here).
Dimensions: 26mm x 16mm x 7mm. Weight: 21.30 carats.
The artist cannot guarantee the accuracy of the identification of these cabochons,
although he makes every reasonable effort to do so.
