This rock was gathered just a few miles from home. It's known locally, along with other river rock, as "Brookwood Stone." It's pale pink with creamy wisps across the top and down to the right. From looking at the rock from which I cut this cab, I think the wisps are actually very old healed fractures. A cool looking piece o' Brookwood! Dimensions: 31mm x 17mm x 6.5mm. Weight: 23.40 carats. |
