This rock was gathered just a few miles from home. It's known locally, along with other rock found in the spillings of coal mines, as "Brookwood Stone." A bad sunburn would be the best way to describe the mottled reddish color of this pretty cabochon. Dimensions: Flat girdle. 37mm x 27mm x 6mm. Weight: 47.35 carats. |
