Ocean Jasper Cabochon

Here's some classic orange-orbed Ocean Jasper! This small freeform cut cab contained a nice surprise for me while I was cutting it. The orange and green patterns were layered over a white layer, and when I shaped the cab, I cut off some orange on the left side, exposing the white streaks. Looks even better than in the photo! I cut this cab for Gloria at Wire Treasures; she wrapped it into a pendant. You can see it here!

24.5mm x 17.5mm x 5.5mm.   Weight: 16.80 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
