Fordite Cabochon

This is not a rock. This cab was cut from a chunk of paint, supposedly from an auto maker's paint booth. Hence the name. This stuff is getting harder and harder to find. You can see the white, black, red and yellow colors in this cab. A really cool pattern developed as I cut it, and resulted in a unique symmetrical sinking-orb image. Wow!

21mm x 24mm x 5.5mm.   Weight: 10.05 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
