From Arizona, this pretty designer cabochon of Chrysocolla is a crowd pleaser! I'm going to try and re-shoot this, as the color is overall closer to aqua than blue, but sometimes it's difficult to get colors exact. Interesting composition! Not a smooth finish, as the materials have different hardnesses; the polish has the appearance of hammered paint, very unusual. The dark lines are not fractures; they are veins which are very slightly harder than the surrounding material (and raised a tiny bit as a result).
