This rock was gathered just a few miles from home. It's known locally, along with other river rock, as "Brookwood Stone." In Chilton County, the composition of the gravels is 10% chert and 90% Quartz. This cabochon is almost white, with several healed fractures.

30mm x 21mm x 7.5mm.   Weight: 32.80 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
