The piece this Botswana Agate cabochon came from reminded me of a broken stalactite: oval in shape and revealing what this agate looks like "outside" the cool patterns we like so much. There was just enough rock to cut this 30x40 oval. For the record, I hate cutting ovals (too much work), but I actually like this one! 40mm x 30mm x 7.5mm. Weight: 68.60 carats. Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned.
