Blue Quartz Cabochon

This "Blue Quartz" oval began life as a classroom demonstration, mainly because this material cuts quickly. BQ has gained popularity among lapidaries recently. This sample did not take a high polish, but it's pretty nonetheless.

39.5mm x 30mm x 7mm.   Weight: 75.80 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
