VERY cool looking material resembling a fossilized plant of some sort. But we bought some Onyx from Pakistan at Franklin this year which looks a LOT like this material, so I'm going to call this Onyx. This is not agate-hard and dense, so you can feel the patterns, especially the reddish ones across the middle of the cab. But sturdy regardless. A very unusual and good-looking cabochon!

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
