Fifties' Slag

I thought this was stained glass, but my source says this is actually "slag" from iron operations back in the 1950s. Whatever it may be (and I have more of this to cut), the bright red waves make this a standout cabochon! The white "dots" near the bottom are tiny bubbles which still have some polish in them.

33mm x 22.5mm x 6.5mm.   Weight: 32.00 carats.

Every one of my cabochons is custom cut to take the best advantage of the particular slab from which it is fashioned. Colors may vary somewhat from what is pictured due to differences in computer monitors.
